Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Pussy Bow Blouse

The Garnet Blouse is a timeless pussy bow pullover blouse that captures effortless sophistication with its graceful details. Featuring a straight cut with gentle shaping through bust darts, Garnet offers a comfortable yet refined fit. The front and back bodice gather softly into the lined yoke for subtle volume, while full-length sleeves gather into button-loop cuffs for a delicate finish. A center front seam and notched neckline flow seamlessly into a stand collar that extends into an elegant bow—making Garnet the perfect blend of classic tailoring and feminine charm.

Fabric & Supplies

Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton voile, cotton gauze, chambray, Swiss dot, linen, rayon challis, rayon crepe, and silk.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, 1/2 yard (.5 meter) lightweight fusible interfacing, six 3/8” (10 mm) shank buttons, point turner, and a hand-sewing needle. 

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

00 – 30

Sizing & Fit

Eden is wearing the Garnet blouse in a size 2. We added 1" to the sleeve length. Her measurements are bust: 34 1/4" (87 cm), waist: 25" (63.5 cm). Hip: 36 1/4" (92 cm), and she is 5' 8" (172.7 cm) tall.

Adjustments: Morgan is wearing the Garnet blouse in a size 20. Her measurements are bust: 48" (122 cm), waist: 41" (104.1 cm). Hip: 52" (132.1 cm), and she is 5' 9" (175.3 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
