Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Description

With a utilitarian-inspired style and an easy-to-sew zipper fly, the Nolan pants are the perfect pattern to take your sewing skills up a level. These pants are fitted at all the right places with a relaxed, comfortable silhouette, high-rise, and slightly pegged legs, for year-round style.

They feature oversized pockets, sturdy belt loops, a fun cuff detail on the leg, and a zip fly. Sew them up in medium and heavyweight wovens like denim, linen, canvas, and twill. Our instructions include steps to sew the easiest zipper fly!

Cora is wearing size 10 Nolan pants with 1 1/2” taken from the inseam. Her measurements are 35 1/2”, 30 1/4”, 41” and she is 5’9”.

0 – 26

Sizes 0-16 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 18-26 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
