Beginner

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Lined Mini Skirt

The Orla Skirt is a chic A-line mini designed to sit comfortably at your natural waist for a flattering fit. Princess seam panels on the front and back create sleek lines, while inseam pockets with a button closure add a functional, stylish touch. Fully lined with a faced waist for structure and comfort, Orla closes with an invisible zipper at the back for a clean, tailored look. Finished with a classic double-fold hem, this versatile skirt pairs effortlessly with everything from casual tees to dressy blouses, making it a timeless piece you’ll sew and wear on repeat.

Medium to heavy bottom weight fabrics such as denim, twill, linen, suiting, and corduroy.

Lightweight woven linings such as acetate, rayon, or silk.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, 1 yard (1 meter) fusible interfacing, two 1" (25 mm) buttons, 9" (23 cm) invisible zipper, and one hook and eye closure.

Sizing & Fit

Cierra is wearing a size 4 Orla skirt graded to an 8 at the hip. Her measurements are bust: 36 3/4" (93.4 cm), waist: 27" (68.6 cm), hip: 39 1/4" (99.7 cm), and she is 5' 9" (175.3 cm) tall.

Tambrie is wearing a size 16 with no adjustments. Her measurements are bust: 44 1/2" (113 cm), waist: 37" (94 cm), and hip: 48" (121.9 cm), and she is 5' 8" (172.75 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
