Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Description

The Reno swim top and high-waisted bottom are a comfortable, vintage-inspired swim set.

Reno features a flattering and comfortable swim top with seamed cups that provide soft shaping, while the wide neck and back ties offer ample support. The swim bottoms offer two versions, both featuring a high-rise fit and full coverage seat.

Fabric & Supplies

Nylon Lycra swimwear fabrics (80% nylon, 20% spandex) with at least 50% horizontal stretch.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, topstitching thread, ballpoint needle, 1 1/2 yards of 1/4 inch -wide rubber elastic swimwear, 1/2 yard of 3/8 inch-wide plastic boning.

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

Aurora is wearing 2 in the bust grade to an 8 in the hips and her measurements are 34", 27.5", 39".

0 – 26

Sizes 0-16 are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 18-26 are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
