Beginner

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Vintage Fit and Flare Dress

Elevate your sewing skills with the Mora Dress, a timeless fit-and-flare design that blends vintage charm with everyday elegance. Crafted for woven fabrics, Mora features a fitted, lined bodice with princess seams and a flattering upper bust panel. The neckline and armholes are beautifully finished with self bias tape, while adjustable spaghetti straps ensure a perfect fit. The gathered skirt, complete with inseam pockets and princess seams, adds effortless movement and practicality. An invisible zipper at the center back keeps the silhouette sleek, and a double fold hem offers a polished finish. Mora is the perfect project for skill building and creating a classic, wearable piece.

Fabric & Supplies

Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, chambray, batiste, lawn, clip dot, seersucker, poplin, quilting cottons, shirting, double gauze, rayon challis, rayon crepe, cupro, silk, and Tencel.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, two 5/8” O rings, two 5/8” adjustable strap sliders, and 18” invisible zipper, invisible zipper foot, one hook and eye.

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

00 – 30

Sizing & Fit

Ilisa is wearing a size 2 Mora dress with 1/2" added to the bodice length. Her measurements are: bust: 34" (86.4 cm), waist: 25" (63.5 cm), hip: 38 1/2" (97.8 cm), and she is 5' 9" (175.25 cm) tall.

Morgan is wearing a size 20 Mora dress with no adjustments. Her measurements are bust: 48" (122 cm), waist: 41" (104 cm), hip: 52" (132 cm), and she is 5' 9" (175.25 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
