Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Knit Bodycon Dress

Inspired by vintage silhouettes, the Citron Dress is a sleek and versatile bodycon designed for everyday ease and travel-ready style. This knit midi dress features a softly shaped neckline, wide-set straps, and a flattering fit throughout. A single side slit adds movement, while the center back seam creates a clean, sculpted shape. The built-in shelf bra—with optional foam cups—offers added comfort and support. Whether dressed up or down, Citron is a stylish staple that layers beautifully and packs light, making it the perfect go-to for vacations, weekends, and everything in between.

Fabric & Supplies

Medium weight knit fabrics with 50% 4-way stretch such as cotton jersey, bamboo jersey, rib knits, double brushed polyester, and ITY knits.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, ballpoint sewing machine needle, ballpoint twin needle, 1 1/4 yards (1.2 meters) of 1" (25 mm) cotton swimwear elastic, 1 1/4 yards (1.2 meters) of 3/4" (19 mm) plush back elastic, and 1 1/4 yards (1.2 meters) of 1/4" (6 mm) clear plastic elastic. Optional soft molded bra cups.

00 – 30

Sizing & Fit

Janiah is wearing the Citron dress in a size 0 graded to a 4 at the waist and hip from our 00-18 size range with no adjustments. Her measurements are bust: 32 1/2" (114 cm), waist: 27 1/2" (94 cm), hip: 39" (127 cm), and she is 5'7" (170.25 cm) tall.

Crosby is wearing the Citron dress in a size 18 from our 12-30 size range with 1" added to the length. Her measurements are bust: 45" (114 cm), waist: 37" (94 cm), hip: 50" (127 cm), and she is 5'10" (177.8 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
