Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Description

Gender Neutral Pajama Set

Leif is a classic woven pajama set with a relaxed, gender-neutral fit. The button-up top offers a straight, easygoing silhouette with a curved notch collar, long sleeves finished with cuffs, and two chest pockets for storing bedtime snacks.

The bottoms are mid-rise with a relaxed, straight fit, finished with cuffs at the hem to echo the sleeves of the top. In-seam pockets attach neatly to the waistband and there’s a faux fly with a button detail. Leif is designed for cozy nights and effortless lounging, making it the perfect addition to your at-home wardrobe.

Fabric & Supplies

Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as shirting, chambray, poplin, quilting cottons, swiss dot, linen, linen blends, flannel, lawn, voile, rayon challis, rayon crepe, Tencel, and silk.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, hand sewing needle, lightweight fusible interfacing, 5/8" buttons.

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

Sizing & Fit

William is wearing the Leif Pajama top in a size 12 and the bottoms in a size 10. We made a broad shoulder adjustment, added 1/2" to the sleeve, 1 1/2" to the body length of the top, and 2" to the inseam of the pants.His measurements are chest: 38 1/2" (97.8 cm), waist: 33" (83.8 cm), and hip: 39" (99 cm), and he is 6'1" (185.5 cm) tall.

Iman is wearing the Leif pajamas in a size 16 from the 12-30 size range. We added 1" to the body length of the top, and 1/2" to the sleeve length. Her measurements are chest: 43 1/2" (110.5 cm), waist: 36 1/2" (92.7 cm), hip: 47 1/2" (120.7 cm), and she is 5'9 1/2" (176.5 cm) tall.
