Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Description

The Jordan laptop and device sleeve will keep all your tech safe and cozy. This zippered pouch features a padded interlining and comes in four different sizes so that you can sew one for your reader, tablet, and small or large laptop. Sew Jordan in medium to heavyweight wovens like denim, twill, or canvas, and put those fun quilting cottons in your stash to good use for the lining.

Fabric & Supplies

Medium weight woven fabric such as quilting cotton, broadcloth, chambray, flannel, and shirting.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, 1/2 yard (.5 meters) of batting, one coil zipper (18" version 1, 16" version 2, 14" version 3, 12" version 4).

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
