Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Square neck blouse

The Bloom blouse is a charming square neck top that combines timeless style with skill-building details. Featuring a flattering square neckline at both the front and back. This pattern includes gathered sleeves with an elastic casing for a soft, feminine finish. Heirloom-inspired touches, like in-seam trim at the front and back yoke seams, add a delicate, vintage feel. Staggered pintucks at the center front add texture. Lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton voile, cotton gauze, chambray, Swiss dot, linen, rayon challis, rayon crepe, and silk.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, 5/8 yards (0.6 m) 1/4” (6 mm) elastic, 1 1/4 yards (1.5 m) 1” (2.5 cm) ladder lace trim or other non-stretch lace trim, and large safety pin or bodkin. 

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

00 – 30

Sizing & Fit

Eden is wearing a size 4 with 1" added to the sleeve opening. Her measurements are bust: 35" (88.9 cm), waist: 25 1/4" (64.1 cm), and hip: 37" (94 cm), and she is 5' 8" (172.75 cm) tall.

Tambrie is wearing a size 18 with no adjustments. Her measurements are bust: 46" (116.8 cm), waist: 39" (99 cm), and hip: 50" (127 cm), and she is 5' 8" (172.75 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
