Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

The Quince day robe comes with two versions—a duster and a jacket—plus optional details that can be mixed and matched to create 16 variations from one pattern.

With a loose fit and dropped shoulders, a waist tie, and patch pockets that overlap at the side seams, Quince is a stylish, layerable piece that empowers you to experiment with different fabrics to customize the silhouette, from a breezy rayon for a soft look to a lightweight denim for a more structured fit.

Fabric & Supplies

Lightweight to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, linen blends, lawn, voile, rayon challis, silk, rayon crepe, or silk georgette.

Crosby is wearing a size 16 Quince day robe. Her measurements are 44”, 32 3/4”, 46 1/2” and she is 5’10”.

Sizes 0-16 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 18-26 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
